They have three children — Ashley, 24, a graduate of The University of Scranton; Michael, 21, a junior at Penn State; and Kelly, 21, a junior at Catholic University. All three children were heavily involved in sports. Michael focused on basketball, and the girls focused on field hockey, playing at the college level. Donald is a Funeral Director and the owner and fourth generation of a family business, Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home & Crematory. The funeral homes service Conshohocken, East Norriton, Trappe, and Swedesburg.
Cindy had various HR positions throughout her career, becoming a Human Resource Director at Kennedy Health System. Due to her husband’s busy career in the funeral business, Cindy retired from her career and became heavily involved in her community and children’s schools and activities. She volunteered to facilitate the country club’s swim team as Swim Team Director and oversee the club’s summer camp program. In addition, Cindy initiated and conducted the club’s tennis program by adding a United States Tennis Association (USTA) team, where she was also named tennis captain.
During her kids’ elementary school years, she joined the school board and orchestrated the school’s annual auction, a major fundraiser. Cindy progressed in her fundraising role and was hired as Mount Saint Joseph Academy’s Auction Director. For eight years of coordinating Mount’s gala, she ran the most successful fundraiser in the school’s history. In addition, she joined the Mother’s Club at LaSalle College High School, where her son attended, assisting with events.
Cindy is a commissioned notary for the state of Pennsylvania, assisting the funeral home with notary services, and is a lector with St. Matthew’s Church. An avid Philadelphia sports fan, she was on the Philadelphia Eagles’ cheerleading squad for five years and served as co-captain during her final two seasons.
Socially, Cindy is a member of various clubs, including The Union League of Philadelphia, Whitemarsh Valley Country Club, Avalon Yacht Club, The Wissahickon Ski Club, and her neighborhood’s Women’s Club. Cindy spends her summers in Avalon, NJ, and was recently nominated for a board position at the Avalon Yacht Club.
“I enjoy playing tennis, golfing with my husband, and organizing ANYTHING,” says Cindy, who is most proud of her three beautiful children. “I am extremely proud to be a Mom.”
