A Note from Hope Katz Gibbs, publisher, BeInkandescent Health & Wellness magazine Susan L. Beres of LaPort, Indiana has been an educator since graduating with a BS in elementary education from Indiana University Bloomington. She also has a Master’s in special education and a degree in educational leadership. Those degrees led her to a 20-year career as a public school classroom and special ed teacher before becoming an educational diagnostician in 2008.

Passionate with an expansive knowledge base in social, emotional learning are but a few of this truly amazing woman’s strengths. What brings Sue to the Inkandescent™ is her skill as a teacher and trainer with YogaKids International and her 500-hour Certified Yoga Alliance teacher.

“I am eager to collaboratively lead professional learning communities to academic success in the school setting and provide positive well-being through social-emotional learning to every child and parent that I meet,” Sue shares. “I am guided by 33 years of diverse experiences as an early literacy specialist, elementary education teacher, special education teacher, yoga and mindfulness leader, and educational diagnostician.”
